Bud our Nigerian Dwarf goat has been awarded October ’25 Employee of the Month! Bud has been with us from the start. There is an “old wives tale” that states if you keep a goat with your cattle herd the cattle won’t get sick so we bought a goat! But he quickly became the Mascot of The Farm! His personality is big for his little stature. He goes head to head with the bull (literally), he finds ways to escape the pasture and is frequently found roaming the barnyard or even comes up and naps on the porch, he loves attention and is always the first to greet us at the gates. Bud is the G.O.A.T and deserves his recognition. Thanks for always bringing us smiles and keeping our cattle healthy!

Tom, our super sweet and not so typical tom cat is September ’25 Employee of the month. Tom goes above and beyond in his role on the Farm. Tom teaches our 3 young kittens how to hunt as he maintains his patients and composure while the kittens practice pouncing on him. Tom is also frequently seen lounging around the yard with his best friend, one of our older laying hens! He stays close to protect her and steers her back to the barn by nuzzling her in the right direction. He is the Farms all around big brother! Showing protection, patients and love to all the our little free roaming critters. For that, Tom has certainly earned his spot as this months Employee of the month! At ‘a boy TOM!!!

There couldn’t be a more deserving winner for August ’25 Employee of the month other than Ms. Macy Moo!!! We spent a lot of time working with Macy as a calf and because of that she is by far the sweetest and most loving cow of the herd. She will mosey across the pasture just to get some good head scratches. But that’s not why she is getting recognized…We had a new heifer that wasn’t ready to be a mama and abandoned her calf. Macy being the sweetheart she is took it upon herself to adopt the new calf! Not only is she letting the little calf nurse but she spends all day and night with her and makes sure the other cows don’t bully her. Macy is truly special and earned her time in the spot light! Great job Ms. Macy, we’re so proud of you!!!

A well deserved winner for July ’25 Employee of the month goes to Ms. Joan the Roan! Joan is our “Blue Roan” and this year she gave birth to a beautiful “Red Roan” heifer calf named Jill who we will be adding in to our breeding program. Last year Joan delivered a stillborn calf so coming into this year with Jill is an absolute win! Great job Joan, you earned it!

Congratulations to Penelope for being awarded June ’25 Employee of the Month! Penelope has been with the farm for 3 years now. She has had the first calf of the ’25 season and as pictured she is a great Mama. Keep up the awesome work!
