Row Crops are the main revenue source of the Farm, which is also ironically the biggest investment as well. So we are slowly updating equipment and picking up a few acres here and there to help justify the expense. The goal is to stay small enough to do the work ourselves and continue to produce a quality crop while hopefully turning a profit (fingers crossed) The primary crops we raise are Commercial Corn and Soy Beans, sometimes we will rotate out with Wheat. Our soil types ranges from good prairie dirt to light sandy ground and a few areas where I think there may be more rocks than dirt, hence the Farm name! Like everything on the Farm growing Row Crops can take hard work, dedication, long hours and motivation but in the end the Pride we feel when the job is done and the season is over will make everything we’ve put into the year worth it!
